lake tahoe wedding | mr. & mrs. ogilbee

let me introduce you to the world’s most laid back bride & groom. the bride & groom got ready outside in the woods. no need for a hotel room. and not only were they ridiculously adventurous about all of their photo sessions (check out their wave-crashing engagement here!) but even let their bridal party wear whatever they wanted! i guess you have to be a chill couple when getting married in a private lake tahoe/carson city ranch surrounded by gorgeous pine trees, rolling mountains and a golden meadow. everything shouts peace. abby & david are not only clients, but close friends of mine. i was so honored that they would chose me to photograph their incredible day.

under the pine trees, they declared their vows while guests sat on hay bails and snuggled in their blankets they were asked to bring. abby & david’s first act together as a married couple was to partake in communion with one another. this was such an intimate and spiritual moment for the couple. after, they were pronounced man and wife and strolled down the curvy aisle of hay. abby and david wrote special notes to one another on a chalkboard before the ceremony and then to their future kids afterwards. oh, and their bridal party even took part in the love notes. the cake was made and designed by the maid of honor & bride’s sister, whitney. the pies were made by family members. guests took home fresh jars of jam. and the guest book was an art piece designed by groomsman & bride’s brother, carl. the tahoe ranch has been in the bride’s family for generations and was the perfect place for abby to say “i do” to her groom.

abby & david, you both are amazing. tim and i are blessed beyond measure to be in community with you both and to witness the declaration of your vows.

to sum it up, as my friend jess said, “this was the best wedding i have ever gone to. i’m serious.”
