christina and i met online. my first [and only] official internet relationship to date. wait, that’s wrong. first came my junior high boyfriend that i would spend hours IM’ing from my parent’s dial-up computer. but this one is the realest of the real because we actually hang out with each other in person. hence, official.
this session wasn’t originally intended to intervene into my expat project, but it wiggled its way into it. perhaps its because we spent the first two hours in christina’s xuhui lane house playing with buster, sipping the bourbs, and mixing tunes. either way, i had an artistic blast photographing her and her six-foot-made-to-model-self.
christina is vivacious. passionate. a dreamer. she sailed the mighty seas across the pacific from san francisco with her husband and pup to live the expat life in good ol’ china town. her love for prime whiskey, art, animals and travel make her easily the coolest chica i have met here. i mean, who else smuggles [loose translation of the term] their precious fur-babies into another country? we do!
with my favorite story of my time with christina. sipping on margaritas [we don’t always drink. just sometimes. many times. but not all the time. actually a lot. yes. always.]. we were sitting at a mexican [also another loose translation of the word] restaurant where christina
and i were was periodically getting stalked by the waiter who was crushing hard on my friend.
to christina: “you are soo beautiful!”
to me: “and you. you are sooo smart.”
gracias mi amigo!
